Christmas season...
The feeling of Christmas Spirit comes and goes, but every now and then, I am reminded of it much more strongly than at other times... especially when i encounter some of the things only Christmas brings... like the nice carols and delicious food!!!
Fave Christmas Songs: (in no particular order)
1. Oh Holy Night
2. Carol of the Bells (I feel the Christmas Spirit whenever i hear this song. So happy. ^_^)
3. Have yourself a Merry little Christmas
4. The Christmas Song
5. and a bunch of Other Christmas songs written in Filipino (including, but not only, Noche Buena and Pasko na Sinta ko). ^_^ I dunno why, but I find them some of the most moving, even though I don't remember their titles. :D
Fave Christmas Food: (again in no particular order)
1. Queso De Bola!!!! (YAy!!)
2. Fiesta Ham (of course...)
3. Baked Spaghetti with melted queso de bola on top. It's SO good, but we only have it on Christmas.
4. Kakanin (like bibingka and puto bungbong(?))
5. Hot Chocolate :') Saya...
6. Sweets (tnx V for the idea) ~ and we always have these cause my lola is a great cook and my dad usually receives lots of cake and other food items during Christmas. ^^;
It's the first Christmas of the Certeza's without my Uncle's family around. My cousins and I will miss C, K, A, and J, and it might be a rather sad Christmas in my grandmother's lonely house. I hope not. But given the general feeling of loneliness and sadness in De Guia, all due to a certain letter me and my cousins don't really appreciate too much, I pressume it will be that way. u_U How sad, but I hope it won't be. For the sake of my grandparents.
I like the cold weather during Christmas time. :D I also like the bustling activity during this season, like the coming out of bibingka vendors in UP, the happy Tiangge's all over the place, the Carols, the extravagant decors (especially the nice Filipino parols), as well as the general air of happiness. I also like the gifts, and the buying of gifts, I like the long days without school and the fun times with friends and family. I LOVE CHRISTMAS! :D
Anyway, hope YOU guys have a wonderful Christmas!!! :D :D :D :D
[BTW, this is my blog's 50th post! So I wanna wish it Happy Anniversary! ^_^]
