The Calm before the Storm
I'm still drowning in a pile of massive homework, except I REALLY felt like blogging, so here it is. ^_^ This is going to serve as a form of procrastination for me, the calm before the storm, so to speak. Anyway, have you guys noticed the strange weather we've been having? Not that I'm complaining. I love the weather in fact! The overcast (but not gloomy) skies, the strong and cool breeze... what's not to like? It's been bothering me a bit though, I suspect that these strong gales of wind are soon going to herald in a big-blast-of-a-STORM, and everyone knows we (our country) can't take such a thing. -__- Afterall, the winds blowing for the past few days have been reminiscent of storm winds, yet not a single drop of rain has fallen. Hmm... -__- *suspicious* Plus, the clouds seem to signal that there will be rain soon, and there never is! Oh well... Next topic!
My English 1 class has really got me thinking a lot... (and mind you, this IS plain old English 1: Basic English: meaning grammer, sentence patterns, etc) Maybe it's because my teacher is really quite good, (not in a Ferminian kind of way though, a bit more interesting, but no offense... she's more like a more knowledgeable, up-to-date and outspoken Ms. Winsor, actually. ^_^) Anyway, she's making me question my already unexistent writing skills. Especially in the area of Poetry. T_T I lack confidence as it is! Anyway, I sometimes talk eloquently, but Nicholas Cage was right in National Treasure, people don't talk that way anymore... My teacher says chances are blog poetry=bad poetry, and she goes blog hopping at that! So ashamed... TxT Whatever, my style is my style, and if I do manage to ever write a poem, it'll just be privately for my eyes only from now till eternity! >_<>< *babble babble*
And my teacher, continuing her thoughts on blogging, (and she's not against it, she actually requires her students in her writing classes to keep one.) mentioned that blogs are for people who have no one to listen to them. Sad, almost pathetic if I didn't know better. -__- I mean, a blog is a good way of release, at least I think so... because you get the full (most of the time at least) benefit of anonymity and that way, you don't bother the people you know that much... especially since (silent? ^_^) people like me have a lot to say. Just look at the length of my entires and imagine if I called you up everyday and told you each and every one of those in greater detail and with emotion. We'd both eventually go crazy. ^_^ Whatever... I just can't take offense... u_u Moving on...
I really like my English classes though. Both 1 and 11. :) I hated English 10 even worse than I hated Chem. But my current english classes are cool. :) I'm glad I took them up. :) I learn a whole lot of things each meeting, particularly things I didn't think of or notice before, but I understand now. :) I suggest people take up my teachers as well. Though my Eng 11 teacher gives hell-hole-hard exams, you get several packets of poetry (some of them quite rare in fact), you get to understand poetry SO MUCH better (I used to dislike e.e. cummings, but now, I find his work interesting) and you learn to write good poetry, as defined by my Eng 1 teacher, who also gives out rare and interesting sotries, as well as interesting bits of detail about pretty much everything. ^_^
And I challenge everyone who wants to take up this challenge! (just say so, ok?) Let's try writing a Sestina! XD
But I wonder....
Before I end, I'd like to add that as of today, I have officially fallen into the state of bankrupcy, and there I will remain until the end of this Temptation week, because Marge took away all my money... TxT First Chanuyo, now this... I wonder if I'll continue to be bankrupt each and every week... TxT
