Geeky.... and SO proud to be!
Anyway, last Saturday, (after watching an episode of Clamp's Angelic Layer) I went to another publicity meeting for CE. They finished up assigning us into groups, to prep us newbies (or young-ER ones) to take over next year. 0_0 At some point, we had nothing to do but roam around while they tried to contact the KFC delivery service. So i went poking around the pile of games in that place. A Testament to My Geekiness. Guess what game I decided I wanted to play? The usual Scrable was unavailable, and I admit that I don't know how to play Monopoly, so I ended up with this game called Equalize. ^^; It's like scrable, but instead of letters, you get numbers and operation signs. Geek. So instead of forming words, you form equations. It looked interesting. :D Anyway, met up with a few Mifia adhoc people, too bad they didn't have the cards. Plus, the next Mafia meeting is set on May 7, uh-oh... Plus I found out that Bong and Von have the same BA 99.1 time. >< No fair! Wala akong kasama! Btw, some pub people are planning to go watch Kingdom of Heaven. :D Saya!
Anyway, I was channel surfing, and I encountered this korea-novela called "Stained Glass". The lines the girl uttered were pretty, enough for me to pause. *shame shame* Too bad she uttered it to the guy who apparently didn't deserve it. Oh well... my relatives love that show, you see. ^_^ From what I can see, we Filipinos have talent, making pretty scripts and such, too bad we don't utilize our full potential. We continue to attach ourselves to foreign culture, believing them to be superior and the key to our own succes, without realizing that doing such actually puts us at a level far below superior. And although traces of our genius still somehow leak out of tiny windows and cracks, we neglect to notice them. Shame... I kind of want to watch Can this Be Love. :') According to some article I read about it, it was able to incorporate aspects of Filipino Pop culture, as well as the sad reality of our fondness for foriegn culture. Ironic that the leads should be played by actors who gained their popularity by being precisely that: evidence of our foreign 'idolatry'. But if they get are able to get these kinds of worthwhile messages through to the public anyway, then Bravo! for them. ^_^ *looks back at what I've just written* 0_0
Looks like I miss the old days with Stacy and Vigile and our geeky discussions. *sigh*
