MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Wow, it's the last day of the year. And in two days I'll be back in class. Yechk! But before that happens, I'm gonna have to bid the year goodbye properly. :D
+2 New Year's Resolutions for 2005, 1 accomplished, 1 almost accomplished. Good Enough. ^^
+Only 1 literary piece written last year. At least. But considering was in an Eng 11 class and am currently in a CW 10 class, not so good. But then again, I really was never that good at writing, and I seem to lack dedication to follow through.
+No pets, but more cats lingering around the house. A kitten actually survived this time. And I think Sig has a surviving puppy too, after several batches that ALL died. Lucky.
+Increased expenses this year, I don't understand if it's an effect of the economy finally reaching me, or I just grew a little less thrifty. Bad.
+Bought myself several books that I have yet to read. They're gathering dust in my closet, but I can't help it if my reading speed hasn't improved after all that I've tried to do to fix that. -_-
+I'm still waiting excitedly for the movies Narnia and Memoir of a Geisha. I just watched a trailer of Narnia, so cool! <3
+Lovelife: Dead. And I'm happy that way. :D I can't imagine having less of my time than I already have left. Besides, I don't think I can deal with the discomfort of such things.
+And i think my sisters and I are allowed to watch TV on weekdays again. Glory! It's unofficial, but as long as no one brings it up, we're pretty much left alone. :D
+ Blog Lay-outs are more often changed, but I missed Christmas, which sadly falls under my theme in our unofficial "blog-ring" of seasons. Shame shame.
Hmm... my blog doesn't look changed doesn't it. I'll really gonna have to try to find time to re-lay-out it.
What's been happening to me in the span of time that my blog remained 'stagnant':
+my xro account has been deleted. Goodbye Grey, Lirien and Scarlett. ;_;
+I STILL have a heckload of homework. X(
+We've been having several reuinions and Christmas Parties lately. I can barely count them. X_x And I couldn't even schedule in a day for LTO in my planner. I seriously need to work on my license soon. Plus I need to study! I haven;t cracked open a book in days! Considering my accounting exam is looming too close for sanity's comfort, I'm cutting it pretty close. -_-
+My sister and I recieved 6 of the Sandman books by Neil Gaiman. Nice. :D
+I got a bruise on my wrist playing DotA. But, on the brighter side, at least I think I've improved since the last time I played. ^^
+My cousins and I have taken a liking for hanging out at Starbucks Eastwood lately, primarily because Bern needs the stickers to get her 2006 Starbucks planner, and Eastwood is convenient for the shop-loving mommies and their restless kids, some of which live almost next-door to Eastwood.
+At least this year my family had Noche Buena. But then again, we were too stuffed with our Christmas Eve dinner to enjoy it much. Oh well...
+And maybe because Bern is still thriving in the "Social Justice" atmosphere of 4th year high school, she looked up on our way to Simbang Gabi and made a discovery she pointed out to the rest of us. It was December 24, Christmas Eve, and a man was standing in an island in the middle of Tandang Sora, trying to sell the small white mouse toys that look like they move when you lift the string attached to its back like a puppet. It was kind of disturbing, a real sign of our country's poor state. When everyone should be home with their family or at least taking a break. Tsk tsk...
+And our Simbang Gabi was a surprise too. We heard mass in Celebrity cause my grandma wanted a nearby and less crowded place and a slightly earlier mass. The sermon lasted less than 5 minutes, cause the priest said he realized that "there were probably other things we had to do". Hmm... It was weird... 0_o Besides, considering what the occasion is about, how insignificant could 30 minutes more be? Especially since mass used to last the entire day. But I'm not preaching, I admit I do often come late for mass, and stuff like that. Another tsk, tsk... But the mass was kind of funny. Instead of a choir, they used a CD of Christmas songs, and it sort of didn't sound right. ^^ Plus, they kept on playing O Holy Night by Regine Velasquez! That was the weird part. She had her own style with the slowing down and speeding up and singing high and singing low. The poor congregation, no matter how hard they tried or how much they wanted to join along could barely keep up. It was a little disappointing to be kept from singing Christmas Carols on the eve before Christmas just because of that. Annoying too. The organizers should have picked another version. -_-
+And I've just tasted (about a couple of minutes ago) the most delicious piece of chocolate I've ever tried! It was so GOOOD! Bern and I decided to split a piece when we opened the box (it was a gift to our family ^^) and we're currently both reeling from its unbelievable chocolatey goodness. Definitely the best we've both had! Ever! @u@

Thankfully stealing time for a postDecember na! OMG! I don't have a new lay-out as promised yet!!! X(
And good luck to Vigile on her cheer dance debut! Woohoo!! I wonder if outsiders can come watch. ^_^ Then I'll invite ** and ** and ** and whoever else is free. ^_^ HEhehe! >:)
I may have been a little too harsh about the movie review. I am no expert, nor do I claim to be. Despite it all, the P&P story is really nice, and therefore, the movie can't be that bad. But then again, it totally depends on the person as well. Be your own judge and see the movie. If anything, at least you can refresh yourself with a little old fashioned civility and classic lit. I don't think they've ever done anybody any harm, given that there were no sexist comments anyway.
Bahala na! ^_^;
Hey guys, my friend wants me to pass this on:
there will be a FREE concert called Pinoy Circus on Dec 6, 6:30p (ata), with a lot of well-known pinoy rock bands. (I kind of lost the list... hehehe...) there will also be free fun booths, henna/body glitter tatoos, tarot card reading booths, and food booths, etc. But please bring toys, school materials and kid's clothes for donation to a children's institution. Sorry talaga teammate! Nagloloko ang phone ko eh.
And I noticed lately (and quite often) that my org mates are ESPECIALLY enthusiastic about finding me a talent. Hmm... I can only attribute it to the fact that both BOng and Vigile already have an established and well-recognized niche in the org, as well as a really admirable and uncommonly polished talent. Tsk, tsk... To be the only 1 of the 3 'powerpuffs' without anything special must, at some unconscious level, be the cause of this unusual phenomenon. Just today: "Wow, Bong can act, Vigile can dance and Gen can sing..." or can I? (
Wala kasi ung dalawa kanina eh) Parang si VIGILE and BONG din ata yun ah. With the second voice and all... <_<
Another such 'happy' instant:
+Scenario A
Person A: "Vigile can write, Bong can act and Gen looks like she can do Accounting."
+Okay na sana eh, but then scenario 2 followed:
Person A: Wow Person B can do so many things! I wish I could too! I can do nothing special eh.
Gen: Ok lang, magaling ka naman mag-accounting eh! :D
Person A: *looks utterly appalled* Kamusta ka naman Genina! Hmmm... makes you wonder doesn't it? When the person who utters a compliment, when equally true for him/her, gets insulted at having someone tell him/her exactly that. But no matter, I'll still take that as a compliment. X(
