~After the Planning sem, vigile said something a little horrible to me. TnT
~I saw the music video of Beep accidentally, cause I was watching the myx hitchart. Really, such songs make me think worse of men. -__-
~Tsubasa is on air!!! XD And since school's been out, I've been watching TV more too. Alice Academy is nice. ^^ Hehe..
~Oh, and Happy Birthday Katrina!!! <(^_^<)

Subic Week!TueWe headed for Subic MUCH later than usual, in fact we even had time to watch V for VEndetta with Vigile in the morning. I think her cynicism ruined the movie for her though. *shrug* I packed that afternoon as well. (Talk about cramming.) Anyway, we left the house at 4pm, in contrast to our usual departure time of 4am. I slept half of the way going there, but not before I had a crack at a bag of Ruffles. ^^ Personally, I like travelling to Subic at night. I don't have to wake up early and feel all sick from the lack of sleep. It's also less sunny and it reminds me of other long gone times. Besides, for some weird reason it makes sleeping on the trip rather blissful. ^^ We got there, ate dinner and for the first time in a long time, I got to read and just laze around. Hehe...
WedMy health consious family went out to go jogging in the wee hours of the morning. Being the person that I am, I opted to stay in bed and sleep some more. ^^ Hehe.. Apparently this was a very lucky choice cause my dad, who was golfing instead of jogging, came home earlier than the morning joggers and decided that he wanted to go to SBMA to shop. (We don't live inside the base, actually. We live in a seaside town in Zambales. :D) He dragged me out of bed and forced me to go. So I came along and got a new book, and a bag of chips and dip, and a morning Chowking snack. Hehe... We even spotted my mom's car cruising around while we were eating. That's when my dad commented that it seemed like I was fattening myself up while they were slimming down. 0__o The horror! Ack!
My cousins arrived that afternoon and we enjoyed an afternoon of sunburning water sports. And once again I thank the world that I can swim. ^^ Poor Bianca though. She was riding behind me during my 10-minute turn on the jetski, and since I wasn't wearing any glasses, I was speeding around without seeing any of the buoys. Blind Driving. Hehe... We went home, pigged out on a ton of food (as is always the case in a house full of people coming home to the province), pigged out in Jolibee like never before for desert (actually almost a second dinner - cause there are some things that I can only afford to try with my parents around, given that I almost always have no money ^^), visited a perya where I almost had a heart-attack on a very ricketty and jerky rollercoaster and then played cards til midnight.
ThursMy beloved Clow Card bookmark (some of you will remember which) went missing, only to be found that afternoon, all ruined and destroyed after what looks like a trip in a washing machine. T_T I almost had a heart failure. X_x
The girls went hiking on the Pamulaklakin Trail. It was beautiful and fun, with the river crossing, and survival tips. I really suggest you guys try this activity. We were taught how to make fire, find shelter in a storm, use natural soap from some roots, find fuel and even fresh water in trees. The fresh water was great. We also got to see humongous trees and butterflies flying serenly by the riverside. It really tasted fresh and cool. ^^ And the sights were pretty too. Unfortunately, my lacking-in-exercise body seemed like it wanted to give up on me. It was sooo tiring. X_x
Before the afternoon ended, the kids went go-karting. Woohoo!!! I once got into an accident there, my kart flew beyond the tires. Shocking. But this time was relatively safe.
We played cards, enjoyed another heavy meal and slept once again...
Fri...only to be shaken out of bed to once again go jogging. -_- The track oval was sweltering hot, and we played frisbee a little before jogging those deadly rounds. I swear, France even commented that from one side of the track oval you could see the otherside in a haze, like we were in a desert. X_x I couldn't do more than WALK 5 rounds, afterwhich France, Renzo and I stopped. Bernice went on to JOG 20 rounds, Bianca 12, while the mommies walked 8 really slow laps. @_@ I know we should stay at home on Friday, but to quote bern, "Jogging isn't exactly fun, besides, God didn't say we should be unhealthy on Good Friday." I went cause I was forced.
We rested a little and then after 3pm (the time after which we can resume all activity if need be -_-) we went on a boat ride and swam in a very clean and isolated beach. Perhaps we should have just stayed home and observed what should have been observed, but my dad said that living almost next door to a beach makes no sense if you don't swim in one. So we, or at least I, comforted myself with the past 3pm rule. And for that I was punished. T_T An apt punishment too. My 6yr-old beloved watch fell out of a hole in the plastic where I placed it. Its probably dead now somewhere below the Ocean. A sad end for such a faithful companion. And no one seemed particularly concerned. T_T
That night I finished the book I was reading (cause it was really short) and was sadly forced to accept that my watch was a hopeless case.
SaturdayOur last day in Subic. This time nobody could force me out of bed and jog with them. *scowl and growl at those who'd tried* After enjoying a full breakfast, France and I spent the morning bonding with our old friend the Playstation. :') Because we opted not to go to the base, we automatically had to forgo the chance to visit the SBMA shops for the last time.
The afternoon was spent resting, eating and then decorating the Risen Christ's Carosa for the Easter "Salubong", the real reason why we go back every Holy Week.
Afterwhich, we played the playstation again (what can I say?).
I was a little disappointed that we were unable to go on the Zoobic Safari. My mom has been unconsciously using that as an excuse to get me to go do things (like jogging) with them for 3 years already, and still my hopes are crushed each and every time. u_u Sad, sad. Especially after a relative of ours went and told us all about it. Next year... >: *determined* Also, we were unable to go on our yearly beach picnic and to try the "slide for life". Grr...
Also, my aunt has an internet/gaming shop next door. I had planned to chaeck on my grades or even brush up on my network gaming skills (for free ^^), but the opportunity never presented itself. Oh well.. Somehow, 5 days is sadly inadequate for a vacation. 0_o
Oh well, at least we ate and slept well. ^^
Easter SundayWe went to Church first thing in the morning and were on back on the road by 8am, heading home. The week went by pretty fast. u_u
Hmm... I suddenly remembered, my favorite dish, which I only get to eat once a year in Subic wasn't cokked this year. TnT After such a long wait... huhuhu...

Falling in Love......with summer. I dunno why, but I'm really really overwhelmed by the fact that I'm now on my summer vacation. So overwhelmed and happy that I think all succeeding summers may suffer from a lack of enthusiasm, much like Christmas and the phenomenon of "the Absence of the Christmas Feeling", as some of you might understand.
...with sleep. I spend my free hours when I'm not out of the house mostly in bed, sleeping the hours away. I wake up really late and sleep almost the entire afternoon, and still I don't feel like I've overslept. My dad has to constantly drag me out of bed for dinner, and he wonders why I sleep so much. 0_0 Maybe it's because the academic days in UP have robbed me of too much sleep and I'm catching up on those Z's. That would be the most commonly overused explanation, but no matter, I still evoke the right to use it. But I'm starting to enjoy other activities as well. I'm also catching up on those movies I missed during school, and the tv shows. *sigh*
...with books. (Again.) One of the things I'm catching up on is my reading. Heheh... After my Accounting exam I rushed over to National Bookstore and bought myself 3 new and incredibly interesting books with the gift cheques I received last Christmas. (I wouldn't have been able to afford it otherwise.) So happy! These books were my answer to the "things-that-would-make-me-happy" situation that Vigile and I found ourselves in. She found a cool self retracting mechpen, and this is what I found. It was comforting after a very horrible exam to be able to buy yourself something nice. :)
...with the absence of hell. Hell week, to be exact. ^^ I dunno why it got to me so much, although it may be because everyone around me was in their summer and I was still readying myself for an accounting exam, but the last day of the finals week was excruciating. I was experiencing so much stress as to make me feel nausea the night before and the morning of this grand exam. Imagine. 0_o That's a first, and perhaps the relief I experienced with its passing was already enough to make me love summer this much. It was an important exam, and I'm not sure if I did okay. :(
...with summer! I can't wait for Holy Week! I can't wait to have a new lay-out! I can't wait to watch my favorite show on TV and read the books I've bought myself. :) And I hope the feeling lasts.
