"What remains when tragic avalanche has swept by? The world remains.
Tragedy is an episode; it passes, and the general life resumes its course."
-Greerson (on Macbeth)
My country has just been ravaged by a really bad typhoon. So bad that a lot of phonelines, powerlines, cablelines, and transformers were cut or destroyed. In fact, as of today several buildings in my college have been locked up because of the lack of power. I wonder if there'll be school on Monday. Also, the death toll has been rising. My sister also told me that several of the ancient trees planted around the University have been uprooted. T_T
I hate brown-outs. Being forced to go to bed at around 8 o'clock because you can do nothing else isn't exactly wonderful. I have a hell month ahead of me, and I really really need to study.
So in remedy, I rang up Vigile and we went to study in some fastfood place with my sisters. Shockingly, Jollibee and & 7-eleven were closed. McDo and Wendy's were too full, it only had standing room left. So much for the establishments near my house. 0_o Fortunately, the McDo near Vigile's had room and power. So we headed there and studied till around 11:30.
And this is where the story gets interesting. Sometime while studying, my sister noted some creepy looking guy "na nanlalaki ung mga mata". Based on her experience, this hinted at the guy's scary nature. A snatcher or hudlum or something... And of course Vigile reprimanded her.
So we continue to study in peace, and the guy moved to the table another table away from our own. He wasn't eating but was just staring around. Several times I caught him staring at us. Freaky. Then he transferred again, and again, and again. Till he was sitting in the table next to ours. 0_o So my sisters were getting tense, cause when my sister stood up and brought her bag, he seemed to think she was leaving and made to follow her. But when she only went to the counter, he pretended to look at something behind the counter and resumed sitting (and staring freakily) in his seat, less than a meter away from us. @_@ So even Vigile was getting spooked, we finally stood up to leave. As we were getting into Vij's car, we were kidding her that she should hurry lest the guy follow us and steal her car. As soon as she went to the other side of the car to open the driver's door, my sisters started shouting at her to hurry. To my shock, the guy DID come out and was heading our way. Eek. How obvious a mugger can you get? So we jumped into the car and as soon as he saw that we came with a car, he (quite obviously) changed his route. I figured that that mcdo was his stake-out place, and he mugs people as soon as they leave by following them out and catching up with them as they get ready to commute. 0_o He was freaky. His getup, his face... T_T Gawd.. and his open staring. 0_o
Also, I noticed that I have a strange and unfortunate tendency to sound mean... even though it isn't my intention. T_T For instance, I say: "Buti pumasa ka pa" when i meant "Buti ka pa, pumasa." --> cause I didn't pass. But it comes of so mean. T_T Huhuhu... And I only realize it later on. Shame shame... T_T I apparently have a lot more in common with Vigile's Ryo that I thought.. @_@
BTW, I hear another typhoon will arrive on MOnday. T_T

I'm very annoyed. I was writing a really long entry yesterday, but the PC just had to give up on me. Thus, the 30minute long entry is gone, and I don't feel like rewriting everything in it, cause it was really long. -_-
And I visited MC yesterday, I was amazed at how different the SportsCom looked. There was a PE cheering class competition, and I was shocked that there were around 19 freshman sections there. What is happening to MC? I also bought some disappointing food for lunch there. But I guess 3 years does entail a lot of changes. But I must admit, the Sportscom really looks nice. We also got to see the pepsquad and dance groups of MC, I almost had a heartfailure whenever the pepsquad makes a pyramid, especially once, when they actually tossed someone diagonally (away from her catchers) instead up straight up, unintentionally. They almost didn't catch her. X_x And there were so many wobbles, I thought someone would really get hurt more than once.
I also finished watching Anego, so so nice! Waaah!! I'm really excited about the SP. I was right that there was actually three possible turnouts for the series, although someone insisted that one of the alternatives couldn't possibly happen. And it did. *smug* Just kidding. It's a really nice show. :D
I also watched a HanaYoriDango episode yesterday, (I was taking a short break from studying after that neck breaking exam) and Domyouji (I'm not sure about the spelling) gawd, looks like a gigolo. An scary, yucky EVIL one. It's hard to get all pleased when a guy wearing a GOLD SUIT with an open front and greasy-looking curly hair is all broody and stalker-like over some girl. (For those who don't know, he's the leading character and the counterpart of DaoMingXu, and again, forgive the spelling). But Rui is ok. I think he even gets better per episode cause he's so nice. ^^ --> Levs, I'm really sorry about the comments, but the show just might be Jun's worst looking one. He looks fine in the others. :D
But for those of you who don't know, my life is actually not going so well. I'm definitely flunking some subjects (we're looking at removals for one and getting kicked out of my course for the other) and I'm also getting org-delinquent so I can focus on my acads, so don't anyone dare claim I'm neglecting my acads for my orgs, cause it's the other way around. X_x I feel guilty though, being such a bad member to some of my orgs. I no longer train for shooting, or play tennis, or even attend photography workshops. But I really try, unfortunately, all my subjects are exam ones, not paper writing ones. I have an exam practically every week. @_@ For instance, last wed, I has my Quantitative Mangement exam, then for friday a PE report (as ridiculous as that seems, but i had to memorize some muscle groups and stuff cause my groupmates didn't want to report 'with kodigo'. At least it was a bit fun.^^) and then yesterday, a neck breaking Finance Exam. I swear, that exam extended about an hour and a half, and still a lot of us came out of the room looking dazed. There was a right minus wrong part, and everything was multiple choice, so you don't get partial points whatsoever. 0_o And then on tues I have a law
quiz that requires everyone to read half a book for 'min-100-max-150 questions'. Is that a quiz? More like an exam. And it's our first written output, so I really have to cram all those Articles into my tired brain. Arrrgh! I haven't had time to study for accounting lately. I'm 3 chapters behind, which can't be good considering I'm one of the 'more-than-fifty-percent-on-the-brink-of-failing-and-getting-kicked-out-of-BAA' part of the batch. T_T But I'll keep trying till then. I'm already reconciled with the fact that I could end up in BA. I realized that there are definite advantages. For instance, I'd be able to take electives and subjects like entrepreneurship or advertising. Besides, I get to have a great graduation during the University Centennial. And I don't get left behind by everyone.
It's really sad to have to see your friends graduating little by little. This year, about 70% of CE will be graduating.
Andami! Same goes for JPIA, RPT, Optics, etc. T_T Not that I don't want them to graduate, it'll just be a lot different without them.
I realized by now that I'm probably really what Tracy calls, "the lone wolf of my batch". I don't have much good friends, cause most of my friends are either from econ, or from my orgs. @_@
And I may have finally made a full transition from straight-haired to curly-haired. I don't know why. I didn't have it curled. My theory is that it's so damaged, it just becomes that way. Probably because my mom tricked me into having my hair relaxed. -_- Never again. My mom actually differentiates me from Bianca by saying I'm the one with "curly hair". But then again, Bernice does have curly hair, and it's supposed to be the more dominant gene. But I really think it's just damaged. -_-
So there, I miss the kada, and my cousins. It's also Bianca's birthday tomorrow.
