Well, as is always my fate, i ended up with some chauvinistic guy for a group mate today for archery class. Maan. It was annoying how he immediately took it upon himself to "lead" the team, with instant declarations that we girls stick to the nearer targets while the guys will take on the further ones. "kelangan lalaki..." Eck. >:( Whatever! As if gender determines accuracy and precision. He made it clear that he thought guys were stronger too. -_- So despite the fact that one of the guys was really bad at archery and some girls were really good, and some girls were better with a longer ranges than shorter ones, we more or less were forced to go along, and as such, we lost TWICE to the other team. -_- Hmph.
And today, I was about to go to Sig's house and try to force her to let me watch Nodame. But then I remembered that there WAS such a thing as homework in the world! *gasp* So I decided not to opt for a visit. Besides, I didn't want to disturb Sig, she wasn't feeling very well. ^^;
I also (finally) finished the book I was reading. YES! Now I can move on to better books! XD It was not a very good ending either. The "final battle" (as I guess I can call) it consisted of only 2 pages while the petty fights preceding it throughout the book usually lasts for at least 3 pages. Sometimes reaching 5-7, i believe, much to my utter boredom. I seriously wanted to skip ahead so many times. Plus they didn't even beat the bad guy in the end, they just pushed him back, into a temporary retreat. Hmm. Possibly a signal that the author intends to write a sequel. Oh well, I'm not buying that book, if it does come. I've had enough of that kind, never again. I know I'm not a great writer or anything, to have enough license to claim this book horrible and so badly written as to deserve a book burning (and to be fair, this book isn't as bad as that anyway), but I'm at least a bit well-read enough to know that it isn't at par with some of the better writers out there. Sorry if i sounded terribly harsh last time, i was probably just feeling bitter that the random book I picked up from the shelf wasn't as nice as expected. Not that I expected much. I just wanted an easy-to-get-through book after all. The kind that doesn't require brain activity. Hehe...
And I finally got to watch Death Note!!! I ended with episode 9 last time (i think) and now I'm about to catch up with the releases (currently at episode 20?). Gaaah! I don't like the girl! (Some of you probably expected that. -_-) She's kind of annoying. :( But on the brighter side of things, I really really really like the lead characters even more!! kyaaa! *fan-girl-mode* XD
My dad was given a dvd player by my mom. It's a small, unbranded player, cause their old, branded one was very choosy with cds and wouldn't play the newer ones we bought (like 8-in-1 movie dvds and TV series DVDs). I'm glad to see that my dad absolutely loves it. Hehe. I heard they once actually stayed up till 3 am just watching Prison Break, which I have yet to watch. It was interesting. A side of my parents I don't think I've seen before. But yeah, I should have figured. My dad is actually a bit nuts about gadgets and electronics. ^_^;
Which reminds me, given our grand love for chips and junk food *>:D*, my dad bought a BAKED bag of Lays quite recently. By baked I mean that unlike the ordinary variety, this one is not oily at all. XP Unfortunately, none of us in the house liked how it tasted. Be warned! My sister claims it tastes like crushed barquillos with a hint of salt. It's astonishingly sweet. Not the best choice if you crave salty chips. I doubt we'll ever buy that again. ^^; I also got to try a new variety of Kitkat, hazelnut praline(?) or some thing like that. It was 1/3rd wafer, 2/3rd chocolate, just like those other huge Kitkat bars around. But somehow, i was able to enjoy the whole thing, possibly because the chocolate had an interesting new flavor. ^^; I'd still have liked more wafer in it, but at least I liked it over all. :D
What else has happened to me, i guess that's pretty much it. 0_0 i had a crappy report, despite the fact that my group worked on it till the wee hours of the morning, complete with an interview, etc. Too bad. But we did our best. ^_^;
I'm being blackmailed by somebody. Slightly. But it's not too serious. I just hope it gets resolved soon. @_@
