I got all hyper and, well, crazy.. so i just jammed some photos into these 2 pics. :) I must say, I'm starting to grow fond of posting pics and doodles here. Hehe..
HAIR MADNESS
The sims hairstyles were taken from www.xmsims.com. :) Tracy and I are planning to make sims of each of the kada, and the above are OUR hairstyles, as already mentioned. Some of you might protest its accuracy, but at least my sim hair sort of captures the perpetually messy state of my pine-tree-looking hair. XD
Just an anecdote, my friend knows a guy who once asked us something like, "what do girls talk about when they're together, hair?" and we were all appalled and started reacting in a "what?!? Do YOU guys talk about hair?" RAWR. And here I am, talking about the exact same subject we raged upon some time back. Tsk tsk.. XD
BLUE PICS
The guy in the smaller pic is Chiaki. Hehe. I was about to get the entire Nodame Series for myself, but a little miscalculation caused a severe change of plans. :( Oh well, there are other chances. Plus Sig has a new dorama. Yahoo~ And the lowest picture comes from Vigile's multiply site. It was taken last Sunday, our most recent gimmick. We watched Pan's Labyrinth, and I still don't know how I feel about the movie. I'm reeling. @_@
Anyway, it was nice to see everyone again, although it was too bad that Sig and Kimmy couldn't come. :( Maybe next time. *huggles*
And BTW, Rico reckons that we just might be the girliest-girls he knows. Well, well, well.
Success!!

I can't believe I finally have a new lay-out. XD I'm so happy about it, I'd cartwheel if I knew how. XD Yay! And I finished earlier than expected. Yay~ There are a few glitches, but time will work it out. XD
GOAL
7:19 PM
April 28, 2007
Mark my words... at the end of this 4-day vacation, i'll have a new lay-out up and running! XD
*never hurts to keep a goal in mind and then announce it to the world to put a little pressure on top* XD
Another hot summer school day.
4:02 PM
April 27, 2007
Hmm.. I never would have thought that summer classes could be so.. so.. heavy? so burdensome. yep. that's it. We have a group paper to write, but at least we're done with one exam and our one big report. *sigh* I wonder when this will get better. I always get the nagging feeling that I've forgotten something, that I should be studying (hell, I forgot write the family name of
Isagani's fiance in one of our quizzes, which I knew, making it suck more than it should. X( Bleh), I didn't know I could get stressed from something as simple as PI. Well, at least I'm not going to have to bother with it come the school year.
Enough ranting. At least there's a bright side. This weekend is an extra long one for me, since my teacher decided to give us the Monday off, so with Labor day this Tues, I actually have a 4-day vacation! If only my family were going up to the mountains or something for this weekend. But at least there's this
kada gimmick that's been too long overdue. :)
And I bought another book today. Gawd. I dunno what craziness has possessed me to spend what little I have left on this new part of my growing book pile. @_@ But I've been eyeing this book for more than I year now, in fact I was drooling over it just yesterday in Fully-Booked, but it was quite expensive there, so I guess I have to forgive myself for buying it when I found it since it was about 1/3rd the price. ^^;
And why was I even in Fully-Booked a couple of days ago when my exam and report were also set on the same days? Cause my parents had their 22nd wedding anniversary, and unlike last year, they decided we could come along for dinner. XD We ate in a not very fantastic restaurant that we all resolved never to come back to. But it was in The Block, so other stores compensated the visit. :)
And for my shocking discovery of the week: I
found a turtle in the middle of the AS pond in school. 0_0 Seriously. A real live turtle. I watched it wading about for a couple of moments cause I couldn't believe we actually have such kinds of wildlife on campus. Then when I passed the pond again about less than an hour later, the turtle was completely gone. 0_0 The next day, it was still gone, but the pond suddenly had plants. Weird. 0_0 Either the turtle went deep-pond diving or somebody took it, I don't know. But coincidentally, the book I was reading said that turtles were lucky. Hehe.. I guess seeing one at that moment was kind of a lucky omen, if I believed such things. :P
But I'm pretty sure I wasn't lucky that day, cause that was the day we had our exams, and our exam questions were something like: "
Give a recap of the entire economic history of the Philippines since blah blah.." and "
Give a list of all the island revolutions that took place during the Spanish Era and when, why and how.." Who can answer such things anyway? The first question alone was a killer, we had to recall the barter trade done by the earliest settlers in the country, all the way down to the time when Manila was declared an open port and the Anglo-american settlers brought in a system of banking through fund deposits on demand (or something) which in turn led to growing investments, yada yada. @_@
And I tried studying Iframes, and it turns out my browser doesn't support such things, so I kept seeing prompts that told me so. -_- Hectic day.
But I finished with Across the Nightingale Floor. It was nice, though very sad. :(
Book Crazy~ @_@
2:21 PM
April 23, 2007
Grabe, first day of the week and already I've used up my entire allowance on books! I actually splurged and bought 3 today. ~_~ I couldn't help myself. I just had to buy.. @_@ buy.. @_@ buy.. @_@
I think this is one of those freaky side-effects of overdoing something. I'm a bit of a miser, you see, as my friends like to point out. Figures that there'll come times when I just have this impulse to buy whatever I see and spend all the money I have. -_- PLUS I was probably a little too holed up in my academic carrel of books for the whole of last school year, so figures I'm ready to read other things. Hehe... I really think I'm going to need a library in my house when I grow older if this buying craze goes on.
Talk about a dog tied to a leash his whole life and was then suddenly set free in a huge field. It'll go crazy and berserk with the sudden freedom. Tsk. Freaky side-effects. Now I'm penniless for a week. But at least I'm happy. hehe... there is always that strange elation after giving in to such whims and treating yourself to something you like every now and then. :)
help!
4:43 PM
April 22, 2007
help! I'm trying to make a new blog lay-out, unfortunately, my design needs iframes! Or something of that sort. @_@ Vigile tried to help me with the old purple snowflake, but the lessons were never followed-through. @_@ Where do I look for help? @_@
Blah!
2:02 PM
I've been littering my own blog with nonsense these days. Maan. I think I need a new lay-out. And more people to rant to. But then again I usually just end up ranting about the same things I blog about. I'm boring. ~_~ But at least I'm not bored. ;p Apparently even the littlest things like the cover of my book interest me. ^^;
Adventure~
10:48 AM
Well, Tracy somehow managed to drag me to Big R to accompany her to get a haircut. :P She wanted someone to accompany her, and by accompany I mean
get a haircut with her. ^^;
So Tracy and I both have a slightly japanese/korean haircut now. @_@ As if such a thing would ever ever fit me. But I figure that my hair will probably grow back to its formerly wild and bushy self by the end of summer, so it's low-risk. Not that I'm really too crazy about my perpetually messy hair (which in truth I don't like anyway either). And I have to give credit to this new hairstyle (though I still don't know if I'm doing it any justice or if it even works for me), it was meant to be messy. And thus it now doesn't matter that my hair is all over the place. :P
But this fun new venture made me realize an important haircutting fact of life: if you want to get a new hairstyle drastically different from yours, get it with someone else. That way, the reeling shock you'll get from the new-ness of how you look will either be 1) forgotten in the midst of the complaints of your companion about HER own hairstyle, 2) reassured away cause your friend will be there to assure you that your haircut doesn't look as bad as you feel it does, and 3)a good balance of both, so not only will you forget to complain about your hair 50% percent of the time, you also get reassured that you look ok 50% of the time. So you walk away feeling much better than if you were alone and had all the time to yourself to regret your decision. :P
*Sig has a new haircut too and she definitely looks Korean! XD
"What is your english name..?" XD
More nonsense about me right now~

April 19, 2007
I usually sleep with the book I'm currently reading, since I usually squeeze in my reading time before sleep. And I realized quite recently just how creepy-looking my current book is cause I woke up in the middle of the night and glimpsed it in the dark. @_@

But it's a good book, so I just stuff it under my pillow so that I don't wake up in the middle of the night and imagine it staring at me. XD
Damn, commuting at noon really takes away all my strength. X_x I ended up sleeping till 5:30 pm today, since getting home after noon, which is pretty bad since I have a paper due tomorrow and nothing started yet. X_x Plus the general all-day temperature is so conducive to laziness, I'm getting tired just fighting the urge not to nap most of the day. XD I remember last summer, I'd sleep about 12 hours a day. @_@ Crazy ain't it.
Death by Heat Stroke X_x
1:15 PM
April 18, 2007
Maan... I've been commuting home from school lately, and since my class ends at noon, imagine how fried I must look right now, walking under the hot sun, with an almost negligible amount of shade and shadow so as to maximize skin toasting and water dehydration, I think I'm going to look like I took swimming lessons, less the weight loss. Except it's so hot, I don't have much of an appetite, except I'm always hungry. @_@ (I was thinking about it a while ago, and I kind of remembered that Cooking Master Boy episode where he put something sour in the rice to enhance the appetite of a really fat gov't official who wasn't used to hot weather and so had almost no appetite.)
ARGH! It's so hot! @_@ The air is getting wavy~ My skin is tingling with a sunburn. Taking summer classes is a lot tougher than I expected, especially with the noon-time-commuting. X_x
I'm gonna die!

Summer Yellows
10:11 PM
April 16, 2007
Well, summer has been a pretty lazy affair lately, which it has always been for me anyways. I mope around reading, eating, my favorite - sleeping and finally, watching DVDs. I recently just finished Desperate Housewives Seasons 2 (started with Alpha, Levs and Ivan) & half of 3, and Heroes episode 1-18, movies including the Holiday and TMNT (Bern wanted to watch it XD), and I've recently started a bunch of other series as well. :P As is always the case for me, I'm usually immensely happy during my summer vacation, and I can stay at home all season and not mind. ;p
But I have to say, this summer is incredibly hot. @_@ The sweat actually drips down my back at times! I think it's because we have a new neighbor who thought it would be pleasant to build a house about 2 stories higher than ours, and since then it has been much warmer because the wind rarely gets into out lot. -_-

It's like living in a sauna! The funny thing about it is that our doggy seems to love the new change in weather. XD Before she would sleep in front of the refrigerator cause there was an exhaust that spewed out hot air on her, now she just ends up asleep anywhere. Under the chairn in the middle of the hallway, it's actually pretty funny. XD
And summer class so far has been... nothing yet. As expected, our professor didn't show up, possibly foreseeing the crowd of students ready to battle for prerog rights. Oh well. At least I got to pick up my old hobby of book-window-shopping. The old days... *reminiscent smile*
Anyway, to wrap up, here's a list of what I hope to do this summer:
(a.k.a. Summer Goals:)
1. watch the other dvds we have piled up. (My aunt just gave us a Grey's Anatomy Season 1 dvd! yeah! I know I'm a bit delayed, but better start now than never. XD)
2. start reading the Otori Trilogy
3. make a mega kada overnight possible
4. watch Spidey 3 (hopefully on opening day) - I admit I'm not a fan, I didn't even watch the 2nd, but it's probably going to be one of the biggest movies of the summer so might as well. ;p
5. go up the mountains. *hint hint*
6. Take up a sport!
7. Bug those people who got internships. XD There was a moment when I severely regretted pulling out of the application, but I think I'll get over it. XD
Book Review #3 (?)
6:23 PM
My Summer Read #1: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Bk6)
One of the books in the series that I liked the most! :D After getting a
bit disheartened with the other books, I can definitely say that my interest has been reignited, and I'm definitely looking forward to the 7th book. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH~
My Summer Read #2: Fallen Angels by Tracy Chevalier
It was definitely one of the saddest books I've ever read. I swear I think I
almost shed a few tears when I was telling France about the story. There's just something harshly honest about the book and how it portrayed life. Where some people never find contentment no matter what, where some people never get to repent for their mistakes or even learn how much they ruined another's life with their selfishness, where sometimes the only lesson you learn is giving and growing up, where you just wait all your life for something and in the end you're just forced to give up, it was depressing. T_T
Unlike the usual books where there is redemption for the erring character, where good people eventually end up with a good life in the end and all that, this book pretty much mirrors life and the reality that many things end up bad. 0_0 There were deaths, hopeless lives, ruined lives, extremely high levels of heartbreaking disappointment, etc. Oh life~
Despite it all though, I quite liked the book. :) It was written from multiple perspectives, so you see parts of the story as seen by different characters, and know parts of the tale that only a few know. It's interesting. It spans a decade, and starts when the children of the lead characters are 5 and ends with a shift in the lead characters from the parents to the now 15 year old kids. I got quite attached to the children, which may have helped spark my enthusiasm to continue reading despite the depressing flow of the story. And it was actually an easy read. It was dissected by the multiple points of view structure, which somehow helped make the book move faster. Bianca actually finished the book in a day, and I finished it in 3 days, which is really impressive for me, since its not even a very thin book. :P
FOR SIG!
10:27 AM
April 13, 2007
SIIIIG~ While you were in Bacolod I was able to watch a CCS episode where Yukito admits to the fact that the person he cares about the most IS Touya, but then he immediately clarified that he didn't think that Touya felt the same about him. I'll tell you about it more in person. :p
Internship Updates
9:07 PM
April 11, 2007
Well, i got a call from Citibank today. They wanted to interview me again, cause the previous department that interviewed me only had 2 free slots. fat chance huh? So though they previously wanted me to do some fancy clerical work for them (systems management know-how req'd), I was now up for an internship with the credit-risk department. Cool! And totally within my current not-so-advanced finance know-how. Since I was considering finance as my future field anyway, and since I prefer finance over systems management (Barretto~ eck. XP) it seemed like the perfect stroke of luck.
Except in the days of waiting for their response, I kind of decided that maybe I wasn't too enthusiastic about getting an internship anymore. :( So I had to decline as politely as I could, which was still a super embarrassing thing to do anyway.
So I'm a loser, chicken, a coward. Fine. I get that. Not to mention lazy on top. But at least I can scratch out greedy from my personal descriptions for the time being. :P
Besides, I think I'd really miss out on a lot of things if I chose to continue with this internship. This
may be the last summer I'll have with some of my friends, who might migrate to the U.S. Plus, this summer could be my last happy one, since next year, I'll definitely have to push through with the internship and then after I graduate, I'll have to start working for good, putting up with endless nights of work with no vacation and spare time. I don't want to start burning out this soon. I'll take this might-be-last vacation of mine and enjoy it, thank you very much. :P Except I have to take summer classes, which was a personal ultimatum should I not get an internship this summer. But a few hours is nothing compared to a full time job in Makati. Considering the commuting time, the only other thing I'll probably have time to do is sleep. *cynical and pessimistic, yes, I know*
Besides, there are rumors circling around my family that we MIGHT go to Baguio this year. And possibly Bicol. It would be a shame to miss out on that, considering one of the most highlighted plans include swimming with whale sharks in Sorsogon(?). Waah... But part of me still feels a bit guilty for turning my back on what I
should do, and choosing to laze around instead.
So I better make everything that'll come out of this decision worthwhile. >:)
*BTW, my econ teacher gave me one of the lowest grades I've ever gotten since I came to UP. Imagine, rivaling accounting? The horror! As if I didn't put in effort! I even got Vigile to tutor me once. And that's a big hurdle from what I'm used to. >:(
My first taste of corporate life
6:55 PM
April 03, 2007
I had my interview with Citibank today. Freaky. X_X
Anyway, I told my mom that the interview was one hour earlier than it really was, and hence I was right on time. ^^; Tsk. Except, the interviewers were late. 0_0 So a bunch of us interviewees had to sit around and wait, and though this would normally have wracked my nerves and shredded them to, well, shreds and what not, a short game of Worms Forts took my mind away from it. XD
Plus I was waiting with a bunch of nice people. :) There was a lady who was already working and was going to get interviewed for a better job. She gave me a lot of tips and basically assured me that there was nothing to be nervous about. It was at least more pleasant to talk to someone instead of stressing myself out in a mind monologue. ^_^; Then, when she left, a Chinese girl from UST and a Chinese looking guy from Ateneo arrived and talked to me. We were all kind of nervous, but being nervous together helps. XD
So I was finally called in. Thank the Lord that nice people were called in to interview me. It lessened my nervousness. PLUS, one of them was from ARPT and had friends from UPRPT, including some people I personally know. We were obviously both overjoyed to talk about them. He was happily relieving the good old days, and I was happily thinking that this made everything less tense. :) I love UPRPT. Who knew such a thing would come in handy? :) As soon as he saw that I was an RPT member, he considerably lightened up. :) Joy joy joy. :)
I think they'll leave me with clerical and information systems work though. Oh well. Banks are pretty confidential about their operations after all, I guess.
But overall, it wasn't so bad. Sure I was awkward as always, but I think I answered okay. @_@ Well, and looking back, I wasn't so nervous during the interview. Probably because there was no pressure whatsoever. If I didn't get this internship, there's always the company with Stacy, and if all else fails, there's summer classes. :P I was able to enlist a good prof for PI. But then I don't have anyone to take it with. :(
And as usual, I'm almost half chickening out of the whole thing. But walking through the offices felt nice. I was thinking: "Ganito siguro pagnagtatrabaho na ako. Galing!"
