I am mildly allergic to tomatoes..
and consequently tomato ketchup.
Aha! No wonder I itch like crazy every time I eat my ham-lettuce-and-tomato sandwiches! I thought at first that maybe I was allergic to the ham or the mayo, cause as you all know, I eat ketchup like crazy all the time. But then again, ketchup just makes me slightly itchy, but the combination of both turns my nose into a caterpillar-infested-cave-of-itchiness (also considering that the holes of the tomato slices are super filled with tomato ketchup). ^_^; Hehe.. poor me, that was my lunch for my 116 exam.
The discovery? I was with a bunch of CE people and they happened to mention a term "Hanashi", from which we deduced a rather yucky meaning. Suddenly, someone commented that I had turned red, presumably cause of the said Japanese term. Even Bong commented that she had never seen anyone turn so red before. ^^; Knowing full well that I was not in the least affected by the term, and suddenly aware that I was also itching all over, I concluded that I might be allergic to the new McDo milkshake. Hehe.. How dense am I? The inability to connect the common food item in the instances of this allergy was rather appalling. :p
But as I had finished my fries and had a half-full glass of milkshake, I continued drinking what I had paid for, and the itchiness eventually subsided, leading to the final realization that it was indeed the ketchup that caused my embarrassingly-timed-turning-red. Tsk..
I later told Bianca, mentioning even Bong's comment while I was at it, to which she replied: "I've seen you turn really red before.." and she said that it had been during dinner time, and she thinks it might have been the food. Hmm.. And I never even noticed. ^_^
And I thought about it, and there was one or two instances in Wendy's and McDo when Vigile said that I had turned red. Link the fastfood with the fries and the ketchup? ^_^ But that was about more than a year ago, so no one can blame me for not recalling. :P
But then again, ketchup just causes really mild itching on my part, so it's understandable that I never notice it. And I think tomatoes are really "prone" to causing allergies.
And that's it for this mindlessly shameless and worthless and self-centered entry! Hahaha~ (^_^)v
