To be fair...

Last year wasn't all bad. Sure my wallet was stolen twice and my USB/mp3 player was stolen once, but through some uncanny twist of fate or luck, I got my wallet back once (minus the money though), and whoever took my USB accidentally left it a the table where I finally found it after several months. (Look, i know it was stolen, cause I thoroughly searched that room and turned up with nothing, and then several months later, I found the USB among some people's things on the table during lunch, after a *bunch* of girls occupied the said table with their laptops. Unfortunately, Gil couldn't remember who those girls were. -_-)

Plus, I got my dream cellphone last year too! And it's been my dream phone for as long as I can remember. ^^;

And also, I finally got decent grades last semester! Yes! After several semesters not making the CS cut, things finally turned around. I don't know if it's the fact that I decided to be a plain member in all my orgs, or just that I sleep more this year, or I was simply so very lucky last sem, but things have improved. (In case you don't know, my New Year's resolution last year was to sleep more by sleeping earlier. Someone actually mocked my resolution, and I'll never forget that, but I saw it through. :D)

Cause really, I turn into a bumbling idiot when I lack sleep. Contrary to my resolution, I fell asleep at 2 for my last exam due to a combination of cramming, and noisy, inconsiderate roommates. What resulted was a genuine bangag disaster. During the exam, I spent some time wondering why the given period for computation was Nov1,2007 to Oct31,2008. I kept thinking, why in the world would they give us 1 year + 1 month for computation? Maybe the given was wrong.. @_@ And why did I think that? For some weird reason, my mind was telling me that November came BEFORE October in the year. My very mental image of the month timelines had November before October within the year. Also, later that night, Bern was joking a cousin that she was already 27 years old. Trying to play along, I couldn't figure what Bianca and my age was supposed to be. @_@ I almost said 26 and 25. Luckily, Bianca answered 28 before I did, and I remembered I would be 29. And of course, let's not forget the classic tale of how I call right left and left right when I lack sleep. As in I genuinely think that everything I see on the right is on the left and vice versa. Hence I flunked some Statistics exam cause the Normal curve was skewed in one direction while I kept answering another (in full confidence of the theory after a night of studying, I might add. It's frustrating that something this simple can let you down. -_-) It's like my mind goes into auto-mental-image-reversal when I'm tired. @_@

But anyway, I lost my trail of thought. And finally, I got to read a lot of good books last year. :D Last year marked the start of my ebook reading phase, but this year really got it kicked off to a slight fever pitch.. :D
