The OtakonEK event

Amazingly, I did attend. Despite the fact that I had a family affair that day, and woke up at 10am with no inkling of my setting foot anywhere near Laguna, I was able to follow my friends and enjoy the free rides. ^^ Talk about spur of the moment.
My friends have been planning this trip since Tues (I think) but due to a now canceled but then uncanceled JPIA event, plus a scheduled family lunch for Bianca and Renzo's birthdays, I was forced to pull out of the plan and simply wallow in the opportunity of being 'emo' due to feelings of jealousy and out-of-place-ness. :p
So on Sunday, my friends took off at (as I estimate) 6am for Laguna while I Zzz-ed all the way till it was time for the gate opening at EK. Then around 30 minutes later, I got several phone calls that shook me awake. At first I thought they were just calling to tell me how great it was, so didn't put much effort into waking up. ^^; But then Vigile's aunt(?) called, and then I knew something was definitely up. Then Stacy texted to repeat the news that Vigile's aunt just told me, and that got me up and banging on my parent's door for permission to go to EK. Apparently, Vigile left her car keys in the ignition, and her car was locked with her things inside and everything. So someone had to deliver the spare keys to her. ^^
So Vigile sent me on this 'rescue mission' all the way to Laguna, followed by the ominous command: 'come in costume'. Funny thing is, I didn't have a costume. :p
But I was able to pull a lot of strings (fortunately my mom and aunt were planning a trip to Paranaque that afternoon and agreed to bring me), plus there just so happened to be enough black clothes in the house, so I got there just in time in a makeshift Sandman's Death costume. At least it was free. ^^
And then since everyone (except me) started their day really really early, all my companions were practically dropping off to sleep by the time we left. ^^ I even had to drive Vigile's Pajero home. Not that I minded, cause I can't even touch our Pajero at home and you guys know how much I love that car. <3
And, I did enjoy seeing cosplayers walking around the place. There were a lot of costumes I really liked, but since i don't know their anime/show/movie/comic/game, I can't really name them. Except maybe the Nana and Ren couple which I found really amusing, the Gothic Loli girls in the Rio Grande line, and the gang of Pirates from Pirates of the Carribean who I thought actually worked in EK cause their costumes were so good. And of course, Jin Joson and company in their Naruto attire. Their costumes (the wigs particularly) were so cool, I just had to take pictures. XD XD
That last bit left France damning me for my luck, but oh well. XD

I'm changing my lay-out cause it felt weird using a deviant creation of some other person. ^^ I know it's weird, but just in case. HEhe... I'll try to make a new layout soon. :D
