Gossip Girl ranting again

Spoilers ahead.

Gawd... i so love the characters of Chuck and Blair. Even apart, I think they make the story really interesting. I just finished episode 5, and I'm seriously fuming about how disgustingly self-centered and evil Serena can become. Argh. How can you possibly say talk about outshining someone, especially when that someone is your best friend? The best friend who had your back when you were having really low times (remember Georgina?) and forgave you when you didn't deserve it (Nate.) And the fact that Serena ran off without saying anything to Blair before the show. I can just imagine how horrible Blair felt then, with her father suddenly leaving their family, and then her best friend suddenly disappearing. And then to find out that that best friend left because she slept with your boyfriend? Sick.

And now Serena is doing a "I've been bending over backwards for you all my life, blah blah." If i recall correctly, it was Blair who used to take care of Serena and clean up for her when she was still a bad girl. Remember thanksgiving? Blair was such a nice friend panicking herself over drunken Serena. Grr...

And considering how badly her mom treats her, I totally understand why Blair turned out that way. A good mom would have taken the side of her daughter and put Serena where she deserves to be. -_- I mean, they got their socialites, right? This girl just wants someone to really love her. Under all that scheming (which only makes her cooler than Serena or anyone else in the show except for maybe Chuck, they're on the same level :p), you can see that she's pretty insecure. *nods head*

And Chuck. Oh Chuck. =u= Hands down my favorite male character in the show. I really loved it when he asked Dan "Are you gay?" And I really felt bad for him when he saw the notes Dan had on him. :( That's a guy who just wants a good steady presence in his life. See how he takes care of Nate? Selling the shares to the club he loves (and helped develop?) with no qualms at all just because Nate's family needed money. Considering the number of times he's had Nate's back covered, you'd think he deserves a little something back from Nate. Bah!
